Xiaomi Redmi 4 with Helio P10 SoC gets certified by China's TENAA

Xiaomi recently introduced the budget mid-range 5.5-inch Redmi Note 4 smartphone in China. Now the company is gearing up to launch a more affordable Redmi series phone.

Dubbed Redmi 4, the phone already surfaced on China's TENAA with Snapdragon 625 SoC. Now another variant of the Redmi 4 with MediaTek Chipset has also surfaced on the certification website. In addition, TENAA has also posted the product shots of Redmi 4 as well.

Similar to Redmi Note 4, the Redmi 4 will metal unibody design and boast a fingerprint scanner at the back, which was missing in its predecessor Redmi 3. However later the company introduced a variant of Redmi 3 (Redmi 3S) with fingerprint scanner.

Coming to the specs, the Redmi 4 will have 5-inch 1080p display, MediaTek Helio P10 SoC/Snapdragon 625 SoC, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 4G LTE, Android Marshmallow based MIUI 8 and 4000mAh battery. It will come in two RAM/ROM variants: 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage and 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage.

Since, the Redmi 4 has been certified by China's TENAA, we can expect an official announcement.
