OPPO F5 with full screen display, A.I selfie features heading to India and other SE Asian market

Oppo's latest camera-centric F series smartphone, the Oppo F5 will be unveiled at an event in the Philippines on October 26. But before that is about to happen the company has revealed few information about the device and its availability.

First, Oppo has announced that in addition to Philippines, the Oppo F5 will also launch in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.

Second, it revealed some of the details of the Oppo F5. We already known that Oppo F5 will come with a near bezel-less design and Full screen display, and Oppo confirmed the same. It will have Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio to deliver vivid visuals for a immersive experience when watching videos or gaming. The screen size was not revealed, but it is rumored to have 6-inch screen.

Oppo also revealed that it will integrate A.I. Beauty Recognition technology into F5's selfie camera. The technology uses A.I to recognize skin tone and type, gender and age of the subject within an image, and analyze environmental lighting condition, by referencing other facial images for a global photo database, to beautify the selfie shot. Oppo also said that the F5's camera will self-learn and enhance each shot, as it captures more selfies.

As mentioned earlier, the Oppo F5 launch is set for October 26, so we'll know more about it later this month.
