Samsung's new flip phone SM-G9298 with dual-displays gets official

Samsung has official announced the successor of W2017 flip phone, dubbed the SM-G-9298 in China exclusively for China Mobile. The flip phone is also called the Leader 8 or Leadership 8, when translated from Chinese. It flaunts an aviation grade 6013 aluminum alloy design, and runs Android Marshmallow, and also gets a fingerprint scanner at the back.

The Samsung SM-G9298 sports two 4.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, one on the inside and one on the outside. The performance is handled by Snapdragon 821 processor and 4GB RAM. On-board storage is 64GB, which is expandable via microSD card.

For photography, it gets 12MP f/1.7 rear camera and 5MP f/1.9 front facing camera. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, WiFI 802.11ac and GPS. A 2300mAh battery runs the show, that is rated to deliver up to 68 hours of standby time. Other features include wireless charging support, Samsung pay, configurable hotkey, S Voice and an always-on screen.

The SM-G9298 has been listed in Samsung's China website, and the pricing and availability details is not known.
