Meizu Pro 7 & Pro 7 Plus gets official with secondary color display, dual-cameras


Meizu has finally introduced its latest flagship smartphone, the Pro 7 along with its bigger sibling Pro 7 Plus in China.

The Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus has a unique feature, that's located at the back: a secondary 1.9-inch Super AMOLED color display. The display shows notifications for calls, messages, social media and more, weather updates, times and can also be used as a mirror when capturing image from the rear cameras. The secondary display also lets you set live wallpapers as well.



They also have dual camera setup at the back, with two 12MP Sony IMX386 PDAF cameras, one with RGB lens and the other one with monochrome. The cameras work together to deliver photos with blur effects or just black & white photos. On the front there's 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

As for the other specs, the Meizu Pro 7 features 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, fingerprint scanner and comes in two variants: MediaTek Helio P25/4GB RAM/64GB storage and MediaTek Helio X30/4GB RAM/128GB storage. It runs Android Nougat based Flyme 6 OS and packs 3000mAh battery supported by mCharge 3.0 fast charging technology.



The bigger sibling Meizu Pro 7 Plus sports a bigger 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display and comes with 2.6GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X30 processor and 6GB RAM. It will be offered in two storage versions: 64GB and 128GB. It also gets fingerprint scanner, runs Android Nougat based Flyme 6 OS, but has a bigger battery capacity of 3500mAh, that supports mCharge 4.0 fast charging technology, that lets you charge up to 70 percent in 30 minutes with 25W charger.

Connectivity options on both devices include dual-SIMs, 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C.



As for the pricing, the Meizu Pro 7 Helio P25/4GB RAM/64GB storage versions is priced at CNY 2880 ($426 | Rs. 27,500), while the Helio X30/4GB RAM/128GB version costs CNY 3380 ($500 | Rs. 32,000). The Pro 7 Plus prices start at CNY3580 ($530 | Rs. 34,000) for the 64GB storage version, and the higher 128GB storage version will set you back by CNY 4080 ($604 | Rs. 39,000). They will go on sale in China early August in Black, Silver, Gold and Red colors.
