LG V30 render based on factory CAD shows off its design

Earlier this month a report suggested that LG will ditch the secondary 'ticker' display above the main screen on its upcoming flagship V30 in favor of LG G6's bezel design. Now alleged 3D render of the device based on factory CAD has surfaced online and confirms the lack of the secondary display.

As seen in the renders, the LG V30 will borrow the design and aesthetics of the LG G6. It will have a FullVision display for a bezel-less design like the LG G6, and does not have the secondary display. It will also sport sleek metal frame and glass back just like the LG G6, but the rear appears to be more polished.

The rear panel will also house the fingerprint scanner and dual-camera setup. At the bottom, there's the USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer, and a single speaker grill. 3.5mm audio jack is also present, and is located at the top.

According to the source, the LG V30 will have 6-inch screen with 18:9 aspect ratio, and will measure 151.4 x 75.2 x 7.4mm. Google has already confirmed that V30 will support Daydream VR platform so the panel that is likely to be used is an OLED display. It is also rumored to have support for wireless charging.

As for the specs, previous reports have suggested that LG V30 will feature Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform, 4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB/128GB storage variants and 3300mAh battery. It is also expected to have IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and new ESS quad DAC.

Rumor points to August 31 unveiling of the LG V30 at IFA 2017. It is expected to be priced around 800,000 KRW, which equals $700 or Rs. 45,000.
