YU announces Android 7.1.2 Nougat Beta for Yureka Black
Micromax sub-brand YU launched the Yureka Black last week. It shipped with Android Marshmallow, but YU promised Nougat update soon. Now the brand has started testing Nougat for the phone.
Yu has released Android 7.1.2 Beta ROM for the Yureka Black. However, the beta build will not be an OTA (over-The-air) update, instead users need to visit YU's forum (or below) to manually download and flash it.
Yu also confirmed that the stable OTA update will be released in July or August for all. To refresh, the YU Yureka Black is priced at Rs. 8,999 and offers 5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 430 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage, 13MP/8MP camera, fingerprint scanner and 3000mAh battery.

2. Download USB Drivers From Here . USB Drivers Windows & Install It on Your Machine.
3. ADB & Fastboot Drivers Installed In your Machine.
a. ADB & Fastboot Driver For Windows
b. On Linux Machine Run these commands to Install ADB & Fastboot Drivers
"sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb && sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb"
4. Unlocked Bootloader : Refer here for Unlocking Bootloader
5. Download TWRP From Here TWRP for YUREK BLACK
6. download Open Gapps Arm 64 from here : Open Gapps
7. Download Firmware package From Here Android Nougat-7.1.2 Beta Build.
1. Extract Downloaded Firmware package In your Machine.This completes the Installation of Android Nougat-7.1.2 Developer Preview on Yureka Black.
2. Connect your device in ADB Interface & from CMD run " adb reboot bootloader" Command to enter Fastboot Mode.
3. Once Device is in fastboot mode verify availability of Device in fastboot mode by running "fastboot devices" command in cmd.
4. Unlock Bootloader of Your Device Refer here for Unlocking Bootloader
5. Navigate to extracted firmware folder YU5040_SW_V-DEV-PREW-01_HW_V01_20170531
6. If host OS of your Machine is linux/Ubuntu then run flash-linux.sh else run flash-windows.bat [ If Host OS of Machine is Windows]
7. Once device is booted up after 6 th step reboot again your device into fastboot mode.
8. Run "fastboot boot /path/of/your/Twrp_image downloaded" in fastboot mode.
9. Install Gapps by running "adb sideload /path/of/your/open_gapps.zip" in fastboot mode.
10. Once installation of Gapps is done make a factory data reset & reboot your device.
Alongside YU also announced its YU developer Program Season 3. The brand says the program aims "to identify top developers from all over the world, especially India, who work on android development for Custom Kernels, Custom ROMs, Themes, Apps, Mods, Development Articles, Porting other Operating Systems etc, and support them with a complete set of technical resources and access to pre-release software — providing developers with everything they need to create and innovate for YU devices."
To apply for the YU developer Program, developers need to visit the announcement thread on the official forum and post a reply in the thread with details including links to profile page, Github, Twitter, etch of their work contributions. YU says preference will be given to devoloper who are capable to make own Custom ROM, or are recognised on XDA ((5000+ thanks).
