Moto Z2 Play arrives in India carrying a price tag of Rs. 27,999
As expected, Motorola's latest Moto Z2 Play has arrived in India carrying a price-tag of Rs. 27,999. It is the latest member of the Moto Z line and comes with modularity function. Moto says the Moto Z2 Play will be compatible with old Moto Mods.
To refresh your memory, Moto Mods, are additional add on accessories, that connects to the back of the Moto Z line via magnetic pins to give it extra functions. The Moto mods include the Hasselblad True Zoom, JBL SoundBoost and Insta-Share Projector. The Moto Mods for the phone include the JBL SoundBoost 2, TurboPower battery pack, PowerBack, GamePad and StyleShell.
Speaking of Moto Z2 Play, it features 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, octa-core Snapdragon 626 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. For photography, it sports 12MP f/1.7 camera at the back with Dual-Pixel autofocus and laser auto focus, that promises good low-light shots. The rear camera is accompanied by dual-tone LED flash and is also capable of recording 4K videos. For selfie you get 5MP f/2.2 camera, and has dual-tone LED flash.
It has 4G, VoLTE, WiFi 801.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C port for connectivity and fueled by a 3000mAh battery backed by Turbo charging that lets you charge the phone up to 50% in just 20 minutes. It runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat and has a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button.
Design-wise, it sports aluminum body in Lunar Grey and Fine Gold colors, that's just 5.9mm thick, and the chassis has water-repellent nano-coating, so that the device is able to withstand light splashes. Even though it is ultra-slim, it has 3.5mm audio jack. It also has separate slots for microSD card and dual-SIMs.
The Moto Z2 Play is now up for pre-order online exclusively on Flipkart and stores till June 14, and will be available from June 15. Motorola has also announced pre-booking offers:
