Lenovo launches Legion 520, Legion 720 gaming laptops in India starting at Rs. 92,490


Lenovo at this year's CES 2017 unveiled Legion, a new gaming sub-brand aimed at gamers, under which it introduced the Y720 and Y750. Now both the gaming laptops is launching in India. 

The Legion Y520 is the more affordable of the duo, with prices starting at Rs. 92,490, while the Legion Y720 starts at Rs. 1,49,990. The Legion Y720 is also being touted as the world's first laptop to feature Dolby Atmos technology, delivering superior audio quality.


In terms of specifications, the Lenovo Y720 comes with 15.6-inch Full HD display, and is powered by up to seventh generation Intel Core i7 processor. It supports up to 16GB DDR4 RAM and packs NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GPU with dedicated 6GB DDR5 RAM, and houses up to 2TB HDD and 256GB SSD.

Connectivity options include 3 x USB 3.0 ports, Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) port, HDMI, DisplayPort, WiFi, Bluetooth and Gigabit Ethernet. It has backlit keyboard, weighs 3.2kgs and promises up to five hours of run time. It also supports Xbox One wireless controller and has an optimised thermal cooling system for keeping the system cool when playing high-graphic games. It has also been certified by Oculus as VR-ready.


The Legion Y520 is a toned down model with 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display, seventh-generation Core i7- 7700HQ processor and packs NVIDIA 1050 Ti graphics card with 4GB GDDR5 video RAM. The storage and memory options are same as Y720. 

It includes USB 3.1 Type-C ports, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, USB 2.0 port, WiFi, Bluetooth, Ethernet port for connectivity. It also comes with 2 x Harman speakers with Dolby audio for enhanced sound quality, weighs in at 2.4kg, and promises battery life of up to five hours. 

The Lenovo Y520 and Lenovo Y720 gaming lapotps will be available for pre-book on Lenovo's The Do Store and Flipkart starting May 19 om Black color. Lenovo is also offering additional two-year onsite warranty worth Rs. 4,999 at just Rs. 99.
