Sony Xperia XZs with 19MP Motion Eye camera launched in India

One of Sony's new flagship smartphone, the Xperia XZs has made its way to India. At an event in New Delhi Sony launched the Xperia XZs revealing the pricing and availability for the Indian market.

The Sony Xperia XZs is priced at Rs. 49,990 and will go on sale starting April 11 in Ice Blue Black and Warm Silver colors. It will be available all Sony Centers and retail stores across the country, as well as online exclusively on Flipkart. Pre-bookings for the phone opens tomorrow, April 4, till April 10, and those who pre-book Xperia XZs during the time period, will get a free Sony SRS-XB10 Bluetooth speaker worth Rs. 4,990.

To recall, the Sony Xperia XZs was unveiled alongside another more powerful flagship Xperia XZ Premium, and the two budget Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra smartphones at MWC 2017, Barcelona last month. The main highlight of the Xperia XZs is its camera capabilities.

The Sony Xperia XZs is one of the world's first smartphone (the other Xperia XZ Premium) to boast Motion Eye camera, which offer super slow motion video and Predictive Capture. The Motion Eye camera is capable of shooting 960fps video slow motion video, which allows slowing time 4x slower than the current camera phones standard. 

The Motion camera is built around the 19MP f/2.0 camera featuring predictive auto-focus, Laser auto-focus, and an RGBC-IR sensor for true to life colors. The main camera is also capable of recording 4K video and includes SteadyShot-5 axis digital stabilization for shake free videos. For capturing selfies, it gets a 13MP 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 front camera with Exmor RS mobile image sensor.

Coming to the other specs, the Xperia XZs features 5.2-inch Full HD TRILUMINOS display with X-Reality mobile picture engine, and is powered by Snapdragon 820 processor. It comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and packs 2900mAh battery backed by fast charging technology. 

The phone supports microSD card, dual-SIMs, 4G LTE, VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C for connectivity. Running Android Nougat, other features include IP65/IP68 ratings for water and dust resistance, fingerprint scanner, DSEE HX, LDAC, Digital Noise Cancelling, Clear Audio+ and Stereo speakers with S-Force Front Surround.
