Nokia 9 specs leak reveals Snapdragon 835, OLED display and OZO Audio

Nokia's newly released mid-range smartphones Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6, and the refreshed 3310 feature phone will hit the market around the end of May, or early June. However, what's missing from Nokia's armoury is a high-end flagship which many fans are eagerly waiting for.

Earlier rumors have suggested that Nokia is working on two high-end flagship phone, which are supposed to go official in the coming months. Now details of one the phone, the Nokia 9 (other Nokia 8) has hit the interwebs.

According to a new report, the Nokia 9 will be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chip, and will be the first phone to feature Nokia's OZO Audio playback enhancements. Nokia's OZO Audio provides 3D audio experience optimized for headphones and spatial audio playback systems. It also features low latency 3D audio play back for VR devices supporting head tracking. This audio technology will be compatible with smartphones with two to four microphones.

As for the other specs, the report says that, Nokia 9 will have 5.5-inch QHD OLED display, 6GB RAM, 64/128GB storage, 22MP dual-lens Zeiss Camera, 12MP front camera and 3800mAh battery. It will run Android Nougat out of the box, carry IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, and fingerprint scanner and iris scanner as biometric authentication options.

Unfortunately, the exact launch date of the phone is still not known, and as with every rumors a pinch of salt is advised.
