Microsoft confirms Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update only coming to 13 phones

Last week, a report suggested that only 13 Windows 10 Mobile handsets will be eligible to receive Windows 10 Mobile Creators update. Turns out to be true as Microsoft has officially confirmed the list. Unfortunately the popular Lumia 930 and the phablet sized Lumia 1520 are left out, and will not be supported for future updates, which will disappoint many.

Here's the list of 13 handsets to receive Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update:
  • HP Elite x3
  • Microsoft Lumia 550
  • Microsoft Lumia 640/640XL
  • Microsoft Lumia 650
  • Microsoft Lumia 950/950 XL
  • Alcatel IDOL 4S
  • Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL
  • SoftBank 503LV
  • VAIO Phone Biz
  • MouseComputer MADOSMA Q601
  • Trinity NuAns NEO
Starting with Windows 10 Creators update, only the aforementioned Windows 10 Mobile handset will support future updates and Windows 10 Insider Program (for beta builds) going forward. However, those on Windows Insider program, whose device is not mentioned in the list can still get the updates, if they are willing to run unsupported beta software their own risk.

Microsoft has already confirmed that Windows 10 Mobile Creators update will roll out starting April 25.
