Xiaomi India sells over 1 million Redmi Note 4 in 45 days


Xiaomi's Redmi Note 3 was one of the most popular smartphone in India last year, selling more than three million units, and there was no doubt, its successor would meet the same fate.

Xiaomi India today announced that it sold more than 1 million (10 lakhs) units of Redmi Note 4 smartphones in the country in 45 days, since it went on sale at the end of January, making it the fastest selling smartphone via online till date. To celebrate the milestone, Xiaomi India VP Manu Kumar Jain will give away one Redmi Note 4 to a lucky winner who retweets his tweet.

The sales numbers are no surprise because when the Redmi Note 4 went on sale for the very first time in the country, over 250,000 units were sold within just 10 minutes.

To refresh the specs, the Redmi Note 4 offers top-notch mid-range specs at an reasonable price. It features 5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 625 processor, 13MP/5MP cameras, fingerprint scanner and 4100mAh battery. It ships with Android Marshmallow based MIUI 8, but Xiaomi has promised Nougat update.

The Redmi Note 4 is available in three variants ㅡ 2GB RAM/32GB storage at Rs. 9,999, 3GB RAM/32GB storage at Rs. 10,999 and 4GB RAM/64GB storage at Rs. 12,999, and wasoffered in Gold and Dark Grey colors. However, earlier this month, the Black Matte Redmi Note 4 went on sale, and also has been in huge demand.
