Moto G5 Plus lands in India for Rs. 16,999


Motorola today launched its latest Moto G series smartphone, the Moto G5 Plus in India offering a premium design and decent specs. The phone will be sold in two variants 3GB RAM/16GB storage priced at Rs. 14,999 and 4GB RAM/32GB storage at Rs. 16,999.

The Moto G5 Plus is the first Moto G series phone to sports a metal body and has a water repellent coating to survive light splashes. Moreover, the fingerprint sensor (baked inside the home button) is much more functional than its predecessor thanks to the gesture based navigation interface called One Button Nav. You can swipe left across the home button to access multi-tasking pane, swipe right to go back and set custom gestures for launching apps.

The phone runs Android Nougat out of the box and an update to the Google app will add Google Assistant. Like previous Moto phones, the Moto G5 Plus also comes with Moto Display, which lets you preview notification without unlocking the smartphone and Moto Actions, which lets users to use gestures or movements to activate functions like camera (twist wrist twice) or flashlight (chopping motion).

Coming to the specs, the Moto G5 Plus features 5.2-inch Full HD display with a layer of Gorilla Glass 3 on top and is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor and 3000mAh battery. For photography, there's 12MP f/1.7 rear camera and 5MP front camera. 

Other specs include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, microSD card slot, dual-SIM slots and TurboPower fast charging (six hours battery life in 15 minutes).

The Moto G5 Plus will be sold exclusively on Flipkart starting midnight tonight.
