Micromax Dual 5 with dual 13MP cameras launched for Rs. 24,999


Micromax has finally launched it first dual camera smartphone called Dual 5 in India. The dual-camera setup is a 13MP f/1.8 + 13MP Sony sensors with dual-tone LED flash. One of the 13MP unit uses RGB sensor for capturing rich color, while the other uses monochrome sensor for capturing details. The cameras also offers Bokeh mode and Night mode, which allows you to enhance the exposure of the image. The main camera is also capable of shooting 4K videos.

Coming to the other specs, the metal-clad Micromax Dual 5 features 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with Corning's Gorilla Glass protection and is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 652 chip backed by Adreno 510 GPU and 4GB RAM. On-board storage is 128GB, which is expandable via microSD card.

There's 13MP f/2.0 front camera with selfies, assisted by a soft LED flash, and has fingerprint scanner at the back. Running Android Marshmallow, the phone supports dual-SIMs, 4G LTE, VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type-C port. It is fueled by 3200mAh battery backed by Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 that promises 0 to 95 percent charge in just 45 minutes.

Apart from the dual-cameras, Micromax is also touting the security features of the phone. The brand says that Dual 5 is one of the most secure Android phones, thanks to the dedicated military grade CC EAL5+ security chip, that encrypts and stores your personal data such as passwords and fingerprints. It also has anti-theft mode, which locks the device, when someone tries to access the SIM slots. The phone also has a hardware key on the left side, which can be customized to open camera or perform any other function.

The Micromax Dual5 is priced at Rs. 24,999 and comes in Gold color. It will be available from April 10 via Flipkart, Micromax Store and offline stores across the country.
