Samsung Galaxy S8+ specifications list leaked


Samsung's next flagship, the Galaxy S8 is due for release in the coming months. As the launch nears, the complete specs sheet of the bigger Galaxy S8+ has hit the interwebs courtesy of Evan Blass.

Based on the leak, the Galaxy S8+ will sport either a 6.2-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED "full rectangle" display or 6.1-inch when factoring in the rounded corners. This indicates that the Galaxy S8 will have an edge to edge display with very slim bezels on all four sides, as a result, the home button is getting an axe.

The Galaxy S8 +will house 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card. It will get 12MP 'Dual Pixel' rear camera and 8MP front camera. Earlier reports have suggested that the main camera is the same, found of Galaxy S7/S7 edge, but with improvements and tweaks.


 

Other specs mentioned in the leak unclude IP68 for water and dust resistance, 4G LTE, Samsung Pay support, Iris scanner, Wireless charging (charging pad sold separately), Samsung Knox, and bundled earphone tuned by AKG. 

Although not mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy S8+ will be powered by Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 chip depending on the market, and run Android Nougat out of the box. It is also expected to come with rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and Samsung's own AI assistant, Bixby, which is capable of linking to third party apps and perform visual searches.

According to earlier rumors Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S8 at an event on March 29 and will hit the market mid-April.
