NuAns Neo Reloaded with Android Nougat gets official


Japan based NuAns the maker of highly cuztomizable Neo smartphone has officially announced the Neo Reloaded. The company has jumped ship with its latest smartphone ditching Microsoft's Windows 10 Mobile in favor of Google's Android Nougat.

Similar to Neo, the Neo Reloaded comes with a wide-range of TWOTONE rear covers, which allows users to choose different textures and colors, for the top and bottom of the rear side. The materials used include denim, leather, stone and wood.



Specs-wise, the Neo Reloaded gets a minor upgrade, when compared to its predecessor. It has a higher-resolution Full HD display versus HD display on Neo, and gets an upgraded processor, and is now powered by Snapdragon 625 chip instead of the older SD-617.

The NuAns Neo Reloaded feature 5.2-inch Full HD LCD display protected by Dragontrail Pro glass. It comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage which can be expanded via microSD card up. For photography, there's 13MP f/2.0 PDAF rear camera with LED flash and 8MP f/2.2 front camera.

Other features include fingerprint scanner, IP54 rating for dust and water resistance (light splashes of water) Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11ac, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C and Quick Charge 3.0 support. A 3450mAh battery runs the show.

For software, the Neo Reloaded runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat, and the company promises to deliver safe security patches and updates.

The NuAns Neo Reloaded is priced at ¥49,800 JPY ($440 | Rs. 30,000) and is available for pre-order from the company website, and through various other retailers in Japan. The TWOTONE cases are priced at equivalent of around $20 to $30 a pair, and there's a flip cover available as well for around $25, which includes kickstand-like functionality.
