Moto G5, Moto G5 Plus official renders and specs leaked

The Moto G5 series is one of the most anticipated budget smartphone, which will break cover at MWC 2017. The Moto G5 and G5 Plus has been part of quite a few leaks, but now a Spanish retailer accidentally revealed the official renders and the complete spec sheet of both the phones.

As seen in the official renders, the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus will sport a unibody metal design, which is first time in Moto G series, instead of plastic. Interestingly, the Moto G5 series will have Lenovo branding as well, as the company wants to show who's the boss. Both will run Android Nougat and also get dual-SIM slots and water-repellent nano-coating on the body to protect the phone from spills and splashes. Similar to Moto G4 series, the fingerprint sensor will be built into the square button below the display.

Spec-wise the Moto G5 will come with 5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 430 processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, 4G LTE support, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and 2800mAh battery.

The Moto G5 Plus on the other hand, will have a bigger 5.2-inch Full HD Gorilla Glass 3 display, Snapdragon 625 chip, 2GB RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, 12MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 4G LTE, NFC and 3000mAh battery backed by TurboPower charging.

As the leak comes from Spanish retailer, the Moto G5 series listed on the website could be for the Europe market. It can be expected other market especially India to get multiple RAM/Storage variants with option of 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage.

The Moto G5 series will be unveiled at MWC on February 26, and is expected to go sale in major markets like India soon after.
