LG to launch 2017 'K' series smartphone in India on February 22


LG introduced the 2017 K line up of smartphones  at CES last month. Now the company is all set to bring these phones to India.

LG India has sent out press invites for an Event in New Delhi on February 22, to launch and reveal domestic details like pricing and availability of the 2017 K-series smartphones. The invite also lists IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad as a chief guest of the event, hinting that the phones could be part of Government's "Make in India" initiative, like LG did earlier with the K7 LTE and K10 LTE, where the IT Minister was also present.

The 2017 line up of K series include K3, K4, K8 and K10, and are targeted at different price points in the mid-range market. The most interesting smartphone of the K series 2017 is the K10 as it boasts features like 120-degree wide angle selfie lens, metal U-frame along with a slim 7.9mm sleek profile, fingerprint scanner, Android Nougat and 5.3-inch display with 2.5D Arc Glass design. 

LG K3 ― 4.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) IPS display, Snapdragon 210 processor (w/ Adreno 304 GPU), 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 5MP/2MP cameras, Android Marshmallow and 2100mAh battery 

LG K4 ― 5-inch FWVGA  (854 x 480 pixels) IPS display, Snapdragon 210 processor (w/ Adreno 304 GPU), 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 5MP rear & front cameras, Android Marshmallow and 2500mAh battery 

LG K8 ― 5-inch HD IPS display, Snapdragon 425 processor (w/ Adreno 308 GPU), 1.5GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13MP/5MP cameras, Android Nougat and 2500mAh battery 

LG K10 ― 5.3-inch HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display, octa-core MediaTek MT57650 processor (w/ Mali T860 GPU), 2GB RAM, 16GB/32 storage options, 13MP/5MP cameras, fingerprint scanner, Android Nougat and 2800mAh battery.
