LG G6 to feature new UX 6.0 mobile user interface


LG will unveil its flagship the G6 at MWC in Barcelona later this month. Now ahead of the event, the company has revealed the latest user interface of the LG G6 called UX 6.0. LG says the new UX 6.0 is specially customized to take advantage of G6's large 5.7-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio, which the company calls FullVision screen.

UX 6.0 brings an expanded top and bottom to the large screen, which lets users to view more information when view videos, surfing the internet, playing games of reading e-books.

The camera UX on the UX 6.0 has been considerably enhanced thanks to the expansive 18:9 aspect ratio. The expansive screen allows users to snap and review the photos simultaneously. UX 6.0 also provides a Square Camera feature, which divides the 18:9 display into two identical perfect squares, so that users can capture images in a 1:1 format for social media apps and review them in adjacent window. There's also a new shooting mode called Food Mode that deliver high color quality and saturation ideal for capturing food. Users can also create GIF files by combining anywhere from 2 and 100 pictures in a loop.

The UX 6.0's smartly designed Graphical User Interface (GUI) enables the opening of  two perfectly square windows side by side, to deliver a more productive and better multitasking experience. For instance, you can open a call reception windows next to the calendar app of the gallery app at the same time as the message app; Multiple photos can be connected together and viewed as Collage Wallpaper on the lockscreen; you can type a memo on one side while surfing web on the other; LG says "the combination are endless"

The LG G6 with the new UX 6.0 will be unveiled at the brand’s pre-MWC event in Barcelona on February 26th.
