Xiaomi's Mi TV 4 has modular design and 4.9mm ultra-thin body

Along with the White Mi MIX and Mi Router HD, Xiaomi at its CES debut also announced Mi TV 4. The company is offering four model with 49-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch screen sizes in 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) with 4.9mm ultra-thin frameless metal body.

The Xiaomi Mi TV 4  has a modular TV design, which means the TV display is seperate from the electronics. For this it comes with a Mi TV Bar which consists of the mainboard and a sound-system backed by Dolby Atmos for advanced cinema-grade audio technology.

The Mi TV bar  handles the processing power (quad-core 64-but TV processor) and connectivity features including 3 x HDMI ports, USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, AV in and S/PDIF out. Besides Mi TV bar which is integrated with 10 speakers, there's also two wireless rear satellite speakers and subwoofer as well to deliver immersive 3D sound experience.

The Mi TV Bar connects to the Mi TV 4 via the Mi Port using a single cable and carries all the signals to and from the display for a cleaner look. The TV is also integrated with "Patch Wall" a UI layer on top of Android OS based on deep learing AI technology to curate contents based on recommendations.

The Mi TV 4 will be available in China later this year starting at $1500 (Rs. 1,01,610) for the standard version with normal speaker and $2000 (Rs. 1,35, 485) for the 65-inch model bundled with sound bar setup.
