Xiaomi rumoured to launch Mi 6 in flat and curved screen variants


Most of the high-end smartphones this year will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor. Xiaomi's upcoming Mi 6 will reportedly be one of the first devices to be powered by Snapdragon 835 chip.

Now a new rumor claims that Mi 6 will be available in two models ― the first model will have flat screen and include 4G RAM. It is rumored to carry a price tag of CNY 1999 (Rs. 20,000).

The second model will have a dual curved screen, similar to Samsung's Galaxy S7 and  pack 6GB RAM. It is expected to be priced at CNY 2499 (Rs. 24,600).

The Mi 6 is also said to utilize the latest LPDDR4X memory chip with UFS 2.1 standard, and rumored to come with Android Nougat, fingerprint scanner and 4000mh battery. It will have single camera instead of dual-cameras, which has become a trend among smartphone companies these days.

An earlier report had suggested that Xiaomi's Mi 6's trial production will begin later this month. It is rumored to be unveiled on during MWC 2017 in Barcelona, which begins in March.
