Moto G5 Plus reportedly launching in India in March

Few days back Moto G5 Plus surfaced online in live photos and renders. Now according to iGyaan, the Moto G5 Plus will launch in India in March, followed by launches of Moto G5 and Moto G5 Play.

The Moto G5 Plus is said to borrow its design from Moto M, sporting a metal unibody design, first in a Moto G lineup. However, the fingerprint scanner will be on the front similar to its predecessor. It will come in Silver and Gold hues instead the usual Black and White color options on previous Moto G devices.

As for the specs, the Moto G5 Plus will retain the 5.5-inch Full HD display, found on Moto G4 Plus but have upgraded internals. It will come with Snapdragon chipset (unknown), 4GB RAM and storage options of 32GB and 64GB.

For photography gets 12MP rear camera and 8MP front camera both capable of shooting 1080p videos. It will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, but will be update to Android 7.1.1 soon. Other features include NFC, 4G LTE support, dual-SIM slots, 3000mAh battery and support for turbo charging.

According to the source, the Moto G5 Plus will be priced at Rs. 14,999 for base model with 32GB storage.

Moto G5's predecessors, the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus were among the best selling smartphones in the country in the sub-Rs. 15,000 segment, and the strong sales helped Lenovo (Moto's parent company) to capture second position in the Indian smartphone market. Same can be expected from Moto G5 Plus, and tighten Lenovo's grip further in the country.

Besides India we can also expect Moto G5/G5 Plus to launch in the U.S, Brazil and Mexico, where Moto devices are popular.
