Huawei MWC 2017 event to take place on February 26, P10 flagship expected

Huawei ended 2016 on a high note, and we can expect the success run to continue this year as well. The Chinese smartphone maker kickstarted 2017, by announcing the global version of the dual-camera totting Honor 6X, which will launch in India on January 21.

Honor 6X is a budget smartphone, however, Huawei's strength lies in flagship 'P' series smartphone, which is very popular in home market of China and European market. The company sold over 10 million units of P9 (and P9 Plus) last year, and now it is all set to unleash its successor ― P10.

Huawei has scheduled a launch event on February 26, a day before MWC begins. While the company did not reveal any details of the event, it is safe to assume that the official unveiling of Huwei P10 will take place.

This is in line with a recent report, which claimed that Huawei will launch the P10 and P10 Plus in March-April.

As for the specs, the Huawei P10 is expected to feature 5.5-inch Quad HD display, Kirin 960 processor, up to 6GB RAM, up to 256GB storage, fingerprint scanner, 12MP dual rear cameras and Android Nougat. The P10 Plus will reportedly come in two screen variants, flat screen and curved screen like Porsche Design Mate 9.

Besides P10, Huawei could also refresh it Matebook 2-in-1 tablet, that was unveiled at last year's MWC. We should know more details in the coming weeks.
