Honor 6X with dual-rear cameras is going global


Huawei sub-brand Honor launched the Honor 6X in China last October. Now at CES 2017, the brand announced the global launch of Honor 6X revealing the pricing and availability details.

Honor is currently taking orders for the Honor 6X in the U.S, UK, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, the Czech Republic, India, Russia, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The phone is expected to go on sale in most of the European markets and the U.S on January 10.

The Honor 6X is priced at $250 (Rs. 17,000) / EUR 249 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage version and $300 (Rs. 20,000) / EUR 299 for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage version.

To promote the Honor 6X in the U.S, Honor will sell the phone for $200 (Rs.13,500) bundled with freebies like case, Engine earphone and selfie stick for the first 300 buyers via flash sale on January 10, 17, 24, 31.

To refresh, the Honor 6X is a budget mid-range smartphone with dual-rear cameras. It sports 12MP image sensor + 2MP monochrome camera for capturing depth of field for bokeh-style effects.

It comes with 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display, octa-core Kirin 655 processor, hybrid dual-SIM slots, 8MP front camera, 4G LTE and 3340mAh battery with fast charge support. The Honor 6X ships with Android Marshmallow based EMUI 4.1 and the brand promises to roll out Nougat sometime in Q2, 2017.
