Dell Latitude 7285 is world's first convertible with wireless charging


Dell at CES 2017 launched the Surface Pro competitor Latitude 5285 2-in-1 tablet. The company also another Surface Rival called Latitude 7285, a convertible laptop, targeted at the business market. Being a convertible it can be used as a standalone tablet or laptop when attached to the keyboard.

The main highlight of Latitude 7285 is its wireless charging functionality, and is also the first laptop carrying such a feature. For this it uses WiTricity magnetic resonance wireless charging technology and works the same as how a smartphone is wirelessly charged. For wireless charging technology to work, the Latitude 7285 will have to be docked on the optional Wireless Charging keyboard and placed on the charging mat to refuel wirelessly.

It also comes with two more detachable keyboard options ㅡ a slim light Travel Keyboard for extra portability and a productivity keyboard that gives up to four hours of extra battery life.

The specs of Dell Latitude 7285 convertible laptop include:

The Dell Latitude 7285 convertible laptop will be available in May. Pricing will be announced at the time of availability.
