Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 Windows 10 tablet will have 9.7-inch display, Kaby Lake


Chinese device maker Xiaomi has so far launched two tablets namely the Mi Pad (Android) and Mi Pad 2 (Android + Windows) with mid-range specs. They offered 7.9-inch display and were equipped with NVIDIA Tegra K1 / Intel Atom X5-Z8500 processor respectively.

However according to a new leak, the company is gearing up for the launch of Mi Pad 3. A couple of promotional image of the tablet has surfaced and if true, it will be Xiaomi's most powerful tablet offering till date and a competitor to Apple's iPad Pro.


As seen in promotional images, the Mi Pad 3 will run Windows 10 and feature a bigger 9.7-inch retina display with screen resolution of 2048 x 1536. It will be equipped with 7th gen Intel Core M Kaby Lake processor (m3-7Y30) w/ Intel HD Graphics 615, 8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage.



The tablet will will have a fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button, 16MP rear camera (dual-tone LED flash), 8MP front camera, USB Type-C port, speakers and 8290mAh battery with fast charging support. It will sport an all-metal 6.08mm slim body and come with an optional keyboard dock.


Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Mi Pad 3 on December 30. As for the pricing the 128GB Mi Pad 3 will cost CNY 1999 ($288 | Rs. 20,000), while the 256GB version will be priced CNY 2299 ($330 | Rs. 22,500). The optional keyboard dock will be priced at CNY 99 (Rs. 950).
