Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G Windows 10 laptop gets official


Chinese device maker Xiaomi in partnership with China Mobile has unveiled the Mi Notebook Air 4G in China. As the name suggests the laptop supports Cat.4 4G LTE that offers download speeds of up to 150Mbps.

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G will be available in two models ― 12.5-inch and 13.3-inch display ― bearing 1920 x 1080 resolution with 5.71mm and 5.59mm ultra-narrow borders respectively.

Both models have the same configuration as their non-4G variants, that was launched back in July, but the 13.3-inch model comes with sixth-gen core i7 processor offering 10 percent improvement over the Core i5 processor found in non-4G variant.

The 12.5-inch Mi Notebook Air 4G features Intel Core m3 6Y30 processor w/ on-board Intel Graphics 515, 4GB LPDDR3 RAM, 128GB SATA SSD and an additional SSD expansion slot.  It is 12.9mm thick at its thinnest, and weighs in at 1.07kg, and promises battery life of up to 11.5 hours.

The 13.3-inch model has an Intel Core i7 Skylake processor, NVIDIA GeForce GT940MX GPU (1GB DDR5 memory), 8GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB SSD and an additional SSD expansion slot. It is 14.8mm thick, weighs 1.28kg and promises up to 9.5 hours of battery life.


Both models will run windows 10 and include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1 for wireless connectivity. Other features include 1MP HD webcam, 2 x USB 3.0 ports (one on 12.5-inch model), HDMI port, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack and dual speakers w/ Dolby Audio.

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G (Gold and Silver hues) has been priced at CNY 4699 ($676 | Rs. 45,850) for the 12.5-inch model and CNY 6999 ($1005 | Rs. 68,335 for the 13.3-inch model. The laptop comes bundled with 4G per month data plan on China Mobile worth CNY 130, which means you get 48GB worth of data for a year worth 1560 for free.
