Android Nougat now present on 0.4 percent devices


Google has released the Android distribution data that was collected during a seven-day period ending on December 5 . As per the latest figures, Android 7.0 Nougat which was first released in September is currently running on 0.4 percent of all the Android devices, up from 0.3 percent in November. 

Recently LG, HTC, Motorola and Sony has started pushing Nougat update to its devices, so we expect a rise in the adaption rate in the next few months

Marshmallow has a total share of 26.3 percent of Android devices, up 2.3 percent when compared to 24 percent last month. Lollipop stood at 34 percent, a slight decrease of 0.1 percent compared to last month, making it the most used Android version. KitKat was at 24 percent, down 1.2 percent when compared to 25.2 percent last month.

The older Android versions such as Jelly Bean is present in 12.8 percent active devices, down 0.9 percent compared to 13.7 percent in November, while Ice Cream Sandwich and Gingerbread has 1.2 percent of the share. As always Froyo is still flat at 0.1 percent.
