vivo X9, X9 Plus with dual front facing cameras announced


China based smartphone maker vivo has unveiled X9 and X9 Plus smartphone in China boasting dual front facing cameras and metal unibody design with unique U-shaped antenna design.

Both phones are equipped with 20MP Sony IMX376 with f/2.0 aperture + 8MP camera for capturing depth information when capturing selfies. The main camera on the back is a 16MP unit with 1/2.8" sensor, LED flash and PDAF.

The vivo X9 has a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display and is powered by 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU, 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage capacity. It runs Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and supports dual-SIMs, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack for connectivity. It includes a fingerprint sensor baked into the home button and is backed by a 3050mAh battery with fast charging support.



The vivo X9 Plus on the other hand is a more powerful version with 5.88-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display, octa-core Snapdragon 653 processor (w/ Adreno 510 GPU), 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. It is fueled by a beefier 4000mAh battery. The rest of the specs are similar to vivo X9.

The vivo X9 64GB and 128GB storage versions are priced at CNY 2798 ($406 | Rs. 28,000) and CNY 2998 ($235 | Rs. 30,000) respectively It comes in Gold and Rose Gold colors and will be available from November 24 in China. vivo said that the X9 Plus pricing will be revealed on December 26.
