Ulefone Armor is a rugged smartphone with IP68 rating


Chinese smartphone maker Ulefone has announced Armor, a rugged smartphone with IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Thanks to the polycarbonate-TPU double layered body, the phone is able to survive extreme drops, slams, and crashes, and can also withstand temperatures ranging from -20℃ to 80℃.

Ulefone Armor also has physical keys below its display for navigation, a physical camera button and a SOS key  — holding it for 5 seconds will call as well as send message to preset emergency contact your current GPS coordinates.

Coming to the specs, the Ulefone Armor features 4.7-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor backed by mali T720 GPU and 3GB RAM. Storage capacity on-board is 32GB, which can be expanded via microSD card.

The camera department is handled by 13MP rear camera (with LED flash) and 5MP front camera. The dual-SIM phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and supports 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and NFC connectivity. It is fueled by 3500mAh battery.

The Ulefone Armor is available at a pre-sale price of $159.99 (Rs. 11,000), while the market price is $199.99. It comes in Orange and Black colors.
