Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) to reportedly come with 16MP front camera, IP68 rating


Last year in December, Samsung unveiled its 2016 line line up of Galaxy A family which included Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7. Fast forward to present, Samsung is working on the 2017 edition of Galaxy A7.

According to a report from Sammobile, Galaxy A7 2017 will carry the model number SM-A720F and may come with a 16MP f/1.9 selfie camera, this could be the same unit found in Galaxy C9 Pro. It will also have IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

As for the other specs, the Galaxy A7 (2017) is expected to feature 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, Samsung's Exynos 7880 octa-core chip, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage capacity with microSD card support. It will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow and include fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, 4G LTE support and a 3600mAh battery.

Apart from A7 (2017) Samsung is also working on Galaxy A3 (2017) and Galaxy A5 (2017) as well that has model number SM-A320F and SM-A520F respectively. The Galaxy A5 (2017) was spotted on Geekbench and Zauba (India's import-export tracker) revealing it to have 5.2/5.5-inch display, octa-core Exynos 7880 processor, 3G RAM and Android Marshmallow. Other details of both the phones are scarce.

The 2016 edition of Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 was unveiled in December, so we can expect the 2017 edition to be announced next month.
