Oppo A57 with 16MP front camera announced


Oppo has added a new member to its mid-range A series. The Chinese smartphone maker has announced the camera-centric A57 boasting 16MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture, laser auto-focus and PDAF. The rear facing camera is a 13MP unit with LED flash and PDAF.

The Oppo A57 features 5.2-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) LCD 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor backed by Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB, which can be expanded via microSD card.


Connectivity duties are handled by hybrid dual-SIM slots, 4G :LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It is fueled by 2900mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 11 hours of continuous video playback ,up to 23 hours and 40 minutes of talk time and up to 13 hours and 30 minutes of usage.

For software, it runs Color OS 3.0 on top of Android Marshmallow and includes a fingerprint sensor that is baked into the home button for unlocking the device.

The Oppo A57 measures 7.65mm thick and weighs 147g. It will go on sale starting December 12 in China for CNY 1599 (Rs. 15,840 | $231) in Gold and Rose Gold colors.
