Apple rumored to introduce 10.5-Inch iPad in Q1 2017

Last month a reported suggested that Apple will announce three new iPad Pro models with 7.9-inch, 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch screen sizes. Now according to a new report from Digitimes Apple is working on a 10.5-inch iPad model as well that will be launched next year. This will be the fourth model in Apple's 2017 iPad line up.

Digitimes citing sources from Apple's supply chain states that Apple is going with a 10-inch iPad because larger tablets have been popular among enterprises and the education sector in the U.S market. Moreover, the current 9.7-inch iPad is considered to be too small, while the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is too big expensive.

Previously a report claimed the possibility of Apple introducing a 10.5-inch iPad model instead of the smaller 9.7-inch iPad next year. The tablet is expected to come with Apple's A10X chip, which is present in the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

The new report further says that the production of 10.5-inch iPad is expected to begin in December and unveiled in Q1 2017. The shipment of the 10.5-inch iPad are estimated to reach two million units in Q1 2017, and reach five to six million for the whole year.
