Vodafone India has announced that from Diwali, all its customers will be able to enjoy free incoming calls on national roaming across the country.

This means Vodafone customers traveling anywhere within the country, can take incoming calls for free without having the need to get special roaming packs. Free national roaming on Vodafone will be available to both prepaid and postpaid users starting October 30.

The announcement is part of Vodafone's ongoing celebration for crossing 200 million customers in India. Currently it holds second position in terms of subscriber count after Bharti Airtel.

After BSNL and Reliance Jio, Vodafone becomes the third teleco to offer free national roaming at least on incoming calls. Vodafone has been countering Reliance Jio, to keep its subscribers on board, by announcing various offer. Late last month it launched a new scheme under which new 4G smartphone users will get 10GB of 4G data at the cost of 1GB.
