Videocon Ultra50 with 5-inch display, 3GB RAM, 4G VoLTE launched for Rs. 8,990


Videocon has launched a new smartphone in India called Ultra50. The phone sports a curved bezel design with glass finish on both front and rear sides and has fingerprint scanner at the front baked into the home button.

The Videocon Ultra50 features 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with Asahi Dragontrail Glass protection and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor backed by Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB, which can be expanded via microSD card.

For photography, it includes a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash, and 5MP front facing camera with LED flash as well. Connectivity options includes dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is fueled by a 3000mAh battery.

Software wise-it runs Android Marshmallow and  comes with SOS-Be Safe emergency response app and supports two WhatsApp accounts. It also has gesture support to launch flash light (draw O), blast music app (draw M) and camera app (draw C).

The Videocon Ultra 50 is priced at Rs. 8,990 and will be available across the country in early November. It comes in Space Grey and Golden colors and is backed by 18 months warranty and 15 days replacement warranty. The phone also comes with unlimited access to over 3,000 movies and music videos on ErosNow app for one year.
