Samsung launches Galaxy On Nxt in India for Rs. 18,490

Expanding its mid-range line-up in India to counter aggressively priced China made smartphones, Samsung has launched a new On-series device dubbed Galaxy On Nxt which is basically a replica of Galaxy On7, that was introduced in China last month but utilizes Exynos processor instead of Qualcomm's Snapdragon.

The Galaxy On Nxt sports a full metal unibody design and features 5.5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is equipped with 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor with Mali T830 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via microSD card.

It comes with 13MP rear camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and 8MP front facing camera. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It runs Android 6.01 Marshmallow and has a fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button. A 3300mAh battery runs the show.

Interestingly last month Samsung launched the Galaxy J7 Prime in the country with the same specifications, but with a lower 16GB storage, compared to 32GB on Galaxy On Nxt. It carried a price tag of Rs. 18,790.

Samsung has set the price of Galaxy On Nxt a slight lower at Rs. 18,490. It comes in gold and black colors and will be available exclusively from Flipkart.
