Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 Android flip phone announced in China

Samsung has announced Galaxy Folder 2 (SM-G1600), the company's latest flip phone in China.  It is the successor of Galaxy Folder, and has a old-school design straight out of the early 2000's, with touchscreen display and numeric keypad

The Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 has a 3.8-inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) TFT display, and is powered by 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with Adreno 308 GPU and 2GB RAM. The storage capacity on-baord is 16GB, which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB).

For photography, it gets an 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and can record up to 1080p videos. On the front there's 5-megapixel shooter for clicking selfies and video calling.

Running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, the dual-SIM phone supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS connectivity. A 1950mAh battery keeps it running, which offers 318 hours of standby time.

The Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 comes in golden color and is expected to go sale in China soon. There is no word on pricing just yet.
