Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro with 6-inch display, 5000mAh battery launched in India at Rs. 32,490


Samsung has launched its latest high-end 'A' series smartphone, the Galaxy A9 Pro in India for Rs. 32,490. It comes in gold, black and white color hues and will be available across the country starting September 26.

The 6-inch Galaxy A9 Pro sports metallic frame and glass back panel. The phone comes with 6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display and is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. It runs Android Marshmallow and has a fingerprint sensor, which is embedded into the home button.

For photography, it includes a 16-megapixel OIS rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and an LED flash. On the front there's 8-megapixel selfie camera which boasts features like wide selfie, palm selfie and beauty face.

Connectivity duties are handled by dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, ANT+ and NFC. It is fueled by a massive 5000mAh battery which promises up to 32.5 hours of talk time, up to 26 hours of video playback, and up to 22.5 days of standby time. It also has support for fast charging, that lets you charge the battery from 0 to 100 percent in 160 minutes, and up to 32 percent in just 30 minutes.

"With capabilities like multitasking with higher memory and advanced processor, one of the largest batteries in the industry for long lasting use and an enhanced camera with Optical Image Stabilizer along-with low light photography capability, the Galaxy A9 Pro provides a Flagship experience" said Samsung in a press release.

Considering the specs, the Galaxy A9 Pro will compete with Mi Max which has a bigger 6.44-inch display, Snapdragon 652 SoC, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, fingerprint scanner, 4850mAh battery and a lower price tag of just Rs. 19,999.
