Meizu m3 Max with 6-inch display, Helio P10 SoC gets official


Meizu has unveiled a new variant of m3 that comes in the form of a 6-inch phablet dubbed m3 Max in China. The phone sports metal unibody design that measures 7.94mm around the waist, weighs in at just 189g. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Flyme OS 5.2 and has a mTouch 2.1 fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button, that works with Alipay and WeChat for secure payment.

The Meizu m3 Max has 6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor backed by Mali T860 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 64GB, which can be further expanded via microSD card.

For photography, there's 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF for fast focus, f/2.2 aperture and 5P lens. For clicing selfies and video calling you get 5-megapixel front snapper. 

Connectivity duties are handled by hybrid dual-SIM slots, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS and USB Type-C. It is fueled by 4100mAh battery with support for mCharge fast charging technology, that can charge up to 45 percent in just 30 minutes using the 12V/2A (24W) charger.

The Meizu m3 Max is priced at CNY 1699 ($254 | Rs. 17,000) and will be available for pre-order in China today, and goes on sale starting September 12. It comes in Champagne Gold, Silver, Gray or Rose Gold colors.
