Google and Huawei reportedly working on a 7-inch tablet

Recent reports have suggested that Google will axe its long running Nexus lineup, in favor of new Pixel branded hardaware. The search-giant is expected to unveil two new HTC build ex-Nexus devices called Google Pixel (Sailfish) and Pixel XL (Marlin) on October 4. In addition Google is also working on a 7-inch tablet as well.

According to Evan Blass Google has partnered with Huawei for its upcoming tablet and will be released by the end of this year. The tablet is expected to have 7-inch display and 4GB RAM. Blass hasn't provided an exact date for the release, but reports indicate that the tablet will be unveiled alongside the Google's Pixel phones on October 4, and will be released by end of this year.

If the information is true, the upcoming Huawei made 7-inch Pixel tablet will be the successor of the 2nd gen Nexus 7 tablet which was launched back in 2013.

No other details regarding the specs and name of the tablet were revealed, but Huawei had trademarked a new tablet called 7P earlier this year, so it is possible that Google's new Pixel tablet will be called Pixel 7P.

We expect more details to come out in the coming days.
