Sony outs list of devices getting Android Nougat



Soon after Google released Android 7.0 Nougat update to Nexus devices and Pixel C tablet, Sony Mobile has outed the list of its devices that will get Nougat.

The list doesn't mention Xperia Z2 and Z3 lineup, but the company said that they are working hard on bringing the update to as many of their devices as possible so we can expect more Xperia devices to be added in the near future.

List of Xperia devices to get Android 7.0 Nougat update:
Xperia Z3+
Xperia Z4 Tablet
Xperia Z5
Xperia Z5 Compact
Xperia Z5 Premium
Xperia X
Xperia XA
Xperia XA Ultra
Xperia X Performance

The exact time frame of the roll out is not known. However, we can expect Sony to reveal more details on new features and time frame for the update's roll-out in the coming weeks.

As for other brands, HTC has already confirmed the update to some of its devices, while Samsung revealed that it will roll out the update for its smartphones in two and three months. Moreover LG's upcoming flagship V20 will be the first smartphone to ship with Android Nougat.
