Karbonn launches K9 Viraat with 5.5-inch display, selfie flash


Following the launch of Fashion Eye and Eye 2.0, Karbonn has launched a new budget phone called K9 Viraat. The phone has a big screen and runs Android Marshmallow out of the box. Unfortunately it lacks support for 4G network and offers only 3G.

The Karbonn K9 Viraat features 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor coupled with 1GB RAM. It comes with 8GB of on-board storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. (up to 64GB).

For photography, it gets 5-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera with LED flash as well. Connectivity duties are handled by dual-SIM slots, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. A 2800mAh battery keeps it running.

Karbonn says that K9 Viraat comes with an in-built 3D feature to offer users with an enchanced video experience, but did not provide details regarding its functionality.

The Karbonn K9 Viraat is priced at Rs. 4,799 and will be available from retail stores across the country, and online exclusively on Snapdeal. It comes in Champagne (gold) or Black color options.
