Samsung Galaxy J2 2016 with Smart Glow launched in India for Rs. 9,750


Samsung in September 2015, released the Galaxy J2 budget smartphone in India. Now the company has launched the 2016 edition of Galaxy J2 in the country.

As expected, the Galaxy J26 has an LED ring around the rear camera called Smart Glow, which lights up when you receive notifications, calls, battery alerts, less storage alerts and more. Up to four alerts can be set with customized colors. Smart Glow also has a Selfie Assist feature, which illuminates the LED ring by detecting the face when capturing selfies using rear camera.

As for the specs, the Galaxy J2 2016 comes with 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) AMOLED display and is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC8830 processor backed by Mali 400 MP2 GPU and 1.5GB RAM. It comes with Turbo Speed Technology, which boosts the phones speed to make apps load faster and make multitasking smoother. For storage's there's 8GB internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB).

For photography, it gets 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front snapper for video calls and selfies. The dual-SIM phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and supports 4G LTE, VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS connectivity. It is fueled by 2600mAh battery. It also comes with S bike mode and Ultra Data Saving mode powered by Opera Max.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 2016 is priced at Rs. 9,750 and will be available starting July 10. It comes in Gold, Silver or Black color options. It comes with a six month double data offer for Airtel users worth up to Rs 4,500.
