Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 is 10 percent faster than 820

Qualcomm has announced Snapdragon 821, its latest high-end processor in the flagship Snapdragon 800 series. Snapdragon 821 promises 10 percent faster performance than 820, that is utilized by most of the high-end flagship smartphones currently available in market like Galaxy S7/S7 edge, Mi 5, LG G5, OnePlus 3 and more.

Snapdragon 821 has up to 2.4GHz quad-core custom 64-bit Qualcomm Kyro CPU's compared to 2.2GHz in 820 and is likely to have an improved Adreno 530 GPU. Other features will be the same including integrated 600 Mbps X12 LTE modem, support for up to 4K Ultra HD and Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging tech.

Qualcomm says that the first batch of Snapdragon 821-powered devices can be expected in H2 2016. If rumors are to be believed Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 7, HTC's upcoming Nexus devices, Asus ZenFone 3 variant and Xiaomi Mi Note 2 are few of the devices that will feature Snapdragon 821.
