Asus intros ZenFone 3 Max, ZenFone 3 Laser
Asus after unveiling the ZenFone 3 Deluxe with Snapdragon 821 SoC, has now announced two new members of the ZenFone 3 family – ZenFone 3 Max and ZenFone 3 Laser in Vietnam. Both offer metal body, runs Android Marshmallow and has fingerprint scanner at the back.

The USP of ZenFone 3 Max is its battery life of 4100mAh capacity, which that promises up to 30 days of standby, 20 hours of 3G talk time, 20 hours of web browsing on 4G and 15 hours of video playback. Thanks to reverse charging tech, the ZenFone 3 Max doubles as power bank and can charge other USB powered devices via USB OTG.
As for the other specs, the ZenFone 3 Max comes with 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass display and is powered by 1.GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor backed by Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB, which can be further expandable via microSD card. There's 13-megapixel camera on the back accompanied by LED flash and and 5-megapixel front facing camera. For connectivity there's Hybrid dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS support.
The ZenFone 3 Max is priced at 4,490,000 Vietnamese Dong ($200 | Rs. 13,500) and comes in Titanium Gray, Glacier Silver and Sand Gold colors.
Asus ZenFone 3 Laser
The ZenFone 3 Laser is a camera-centric smartphone and offers 13-megapixel PixelMaster 3.0 rear camera with Sony IMX214 sensor, dual LED flash, Ultra fast 0.02 sec 2nd gen laser auto-focus, color correction sensor and EIS blur-free video recording.
It comes with 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS 2.5D curved Gorilla glass display and is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor paired with Adreno 505 GPU and 4GB RAM. There's 32GB internal storage, which can be increased via microSD card. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.
There are no details about front facing camera and battery capacity.
The ZenFone 3 Laser is priced at 5,990,000 Vietnamese Dong ($270 | Rs. 18,000) and comes in Gold, Rose Gold and Silver colors.
