vivo X7, X7 Plus with 16MP selfie camera gets official


vivo has officially announced their flagship device the X7 and X7 Plus, the successor of X6/X6 Plus in China. The phones sport a 7.2mm thin metal unibody design that comes in Gold and Rose Gold colors and has a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button.

The vivo X7 comes with 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor backed by Adreno 510 GPU and 4GB RAM. On-baord storage is 64GB, which is non-expandable. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop based Funtouch OS 2.5.1.

For photography, it gets 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and 16-megapixel front facing camera accompanied by moonlight flash. Connectivity duties are handled by 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It is fueled by 3000mAh battery and supports fast charging.

The vivo X7 Plus is the bigger brother of X7 and comes witha bigger 5.7-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display, 16-megapixel Sony IMX298 rear camera and 4000mAh battery. Rest of the specs are same as X7.

The vivo X7 is priced at CNY 2498 ($375 | Rs. 25,300) and will go on sale in China starting from July 7. The vivo X7 Plus will go on sale July 15, and the pricing will announced on that day.

  1. Nice information about the Vivo X7 and X7 Plus. Vivo has launched two new selfie-centric smartphones in China. Vivo X7 and X7 Plus seems like a copy of Oppo F1 series, which were dubbed as the best camera-centric smartphones in the market.
