LeEco LeMax 2 Pro reportedly in the works, to pack Snapdragon 821 SoC, 8GB RAM

China based LeEco (formerly LeTV) in April this year launched it flagship the Le Max 2 with Snapdragon 820 SoC and 6GB RAM. Now according to a new report, LeEco is working on a more powerful variant of Le Max 2 which will launch as Le Max 2 Pro.

The LeEco LeMax 2 Pro is expected to come with 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPI and pack a whooping 8GB RAM. The phone is also rumored to have 25MP rear camera, blue/red color variant and just like the Le Max 2 will skip the 3.5mm audio jack in favor of CDLA technology enabled USB Type-C audio port. The phone will be initially released in China and will also be launched in major Asian markets including India.

It's only been few months since smartphones have started to appear with 6GB RAM. However, all of these are Chinese brand such as vivo, OnePlus, Vernee and more. But well established brand such as LG, Samsung, Sony and HTC are still using 4GB RAM on their devices and are yet to release a smartphone with 6 gigs of RAM. Samsung's upcoming Note 7 is said to pack 6GB RAM.

One of the main advantages of having extra RAM is that, it helps in multi-tasking, allowing you to open more apps and switch between them without having to close them in the background.
