LeEco to sell the Le 1s in offline retail stores in India


China based LeEco (formerly LeTV) forayed into the Indian market earlier this year with the super phone Le 1s and LeMax smartphone. The company is also all set to bring its recently launched Le 2, Le 2 Pro, and Le Max 2 to the Indian market as well. The brand has scheduled an event in the country on June 8 that is tomorrow to launch these phones.

Ahead of the launch, LeEco has announced its foray into the offline retail space in the country with the Le 1s. The brand will start selling the Le 1s offline via brick and mortar stores located in prime locations in Mumbai and New Delhi in the first phase.

The company expects 50 percent sales from offline retail stores. It also plans to cover 70 percent retail stores across the country by the end of September 2016, as part of second phase.

LeEco recently announced that it sold five lakh smartphones the the first 100 days in the country, since its first sale that took place on February. Last month the brand announced its content ecosystem membership program in India with the launch of Le 1s Eco. LeEco also started selling its accessories through LeMall online store in the country. The brand also claims to have 555 service centers across India and provides 24×7 toll free services.

Motorola, Xiaomi, Huawei sub-brand Honor and Micromax sub-brand YU which has started their journey in the country through online route, have expanded their presence in  the offline space to cater huge demand in the Indian market. LeEco will also be looking forward to expand its presence offline and boost sales further.
