VAIO Phone Biz, a Windows 10 based Mobile launched in Japan


VAIO, the former Sony laptop unit forayed into the smartphone segment last year with the launch of Android powered VAIO Phone. Now the company has launched its first Windows 10 Mobile phone, called VAIO Phone Biz. It sports a sleek silver-finished aluminium build and tempered glass in the front.

The VAIO Phone Biz features 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, that can be further increased via microSD card up to 64GB. For photography, it is equipped with 13-megapixel rear camera with rear camera and 5-megapixel front snapper. It supports 4G LTE, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity and is fueled by 2800mAh battery.

Since it runs Windows 10 Mobile, it supports Continuum mode that  allows a user to plug-in the smartphone to a TV, monitor, or a large screen and use it as a computer.

The VAIO Phone Biz is priced at 50,000 yen ($424 | Rs. 29,000) unlocked and will go on sale in Japan through local carrier NTT Docomo sometime in April. It comes in Silver color.
