Xiaomi outs 20000mAh Mi Power Bank and Mi Power Strip in China

Following the announcement of the Mi Band 1S, Xiaomi has introduced two new products in its home market- a new Mi power bank with 20,000mAh battery capacity and a five socket Power Strip. Now the company has four power banks in its portfolio with capacity- 5200mAh, 10,400mAh, 16,000mAh and 20,000mAh.

The 20,000mAh Mi Power bank is designed by Texas instruments and comes with nine layers of circuit protection, just like other Mi power banks. It has ABS plastic body as compared to aluminum body on other Mi Banks, which offers better grip and prevents scratches. Even with more batteries, it just weighs 338grams, lighter than the 350grams 16000mAh Mi Power Bank due to the change in material. It offers 5.1V and 3.6A output.

The powerbank has a power button on the side, an LED power indicator, a microUSB slot for charging, and two standard USB ports that let users charge two devices simultaneously. The batteries inside are manufactured by LG or Panasonic and it promises up to 93 percent conversion rate and minimum 12,700mAh actual output, and takes three hours to charge up to 11,000mAh thanks to fast charging support.

The new Mi Power Strip is made from fire-resistant material and is capable of withstanding heat of up to 750 degress. It comes with five power sockets instead of three power sockets and three USB port housed in the previous Mi Power Strip.

The 20000mAH Mi Power bank has been priced at CNY 149 (Rs. 1,550) and the Mi Power Strip costs CNY 39 (Rs. 400). They will go on sale in China on November 11 via Mi.com.
